01The starting point
A global clientele, and only Instagram.
Aramanda is a bespoke tailoring house founded by Araoluwa Popoola, known for fusing traditional Nigerian craftsmanship with contemporary design. From a showroom in Lagos, it dresses clients across Africa, Europe and North America.
Online, though, the brand lived only on Instagram. Aramanda came to us after working with three other designers and agencies, none of whom had captured the founder's vision for the brand online.

02The challenge
How do you sell something made to measure?
Every Aramanda garment is cut for one person. Traditionally that means a fitting: a tailor who measures, observes and adjusts in person. The site had to recreate that for a client thousands of miles away, without turning a luxury commission into paperwork.
03Commissioning, not shopping
Every piece starts with 'Make this for me'.
Instead of 'Add to cart', every garment invites the client to commission it. Custom fit is the default, with standard sizes and their exact measurements available for clients who already know their fit. Delivery time is shown before anything is ordered, so expectations are set from the first click.

04Measure after you commit
Measurements come after checkout, not before.
Asking for fifteen measurements before a client has committed would stop most orders before they start. So the client places the order first, then chooses how to provide their measurements: online, guided step by step, or by booking an in-person visit at the showroom.

05A fitting, remotely
Recreating the tailor's eye.
Online measurement runs in five steps: upper body, lower body, posture, general information and a final review. Each measurement opens its own short video guide and written instructions, with a body diagram for reference.
The posture check asks for four photos — front, back and both sides — giving the tailor what they would normally see in a fitting. Before submitting, the client reviews every measurement and can correct anything in place.

06The brand
The mystery of power and style.
Aramanda's world is cinematic: dark, rich and ceremonial. The design leads with that atmosphere — full-bleed imagery, an elegant serif, and collections presented as stories rather than product grids — so the site feels like stepping into the showroom.

07The result
The version of Aramanda the founder had been looking for.
On reviewing the final designs, the founder told us this was the version of Aramanda he had been trying to get to all along.
